About Our Company
Established November 2009
by Hunter Hoffman

Our history is a thirty two year long journey in the building industry starting in 1976 while Hunter was in high school.  He completed two years of carpentry training and graduated first in his class in 1979, while at the same time completing residential electricity courses.

Motivated to bringing both quality and a professional attitude  to  the field, Hunter has worked in the residential and commercial construction industry for over 30 years, progressing through the ranks from carpenter to Construction Superintendent to Project Manager and owner.  Hoffman Building Technologies was established in 1990 and was known for "World Class Quality" in the residential and commercial fields. 

Over the years, he has built relationships with owners, architects, engineers and fellow tradesmen, honing his skills to build with the quality and service each customer deserves. With his vast experience in the construction industry, Hunter brings a unique perspective to building inspections. 

Tri-State Building Inspections LLC meets all license and insurance requirements in Ohio, Kentucky, and West Virginia.  We have completed the required courses and passed the National Home Inspectors Examination of the Board of Directors of EBPHI.

Our goal is to provide you with an inspection that is based on facts, experience and attention to detail.  
Our Comprehensive Reporting

Using software developed by Amercian Home Inspectors Training Institute and Tri-State Building Inspections' knowledge of the building industry, we have developed a report that provides a detailed review of the inspection in a format that is easy to use and  understand.  Our multi-point report takes you step by step through the inspection process.  Our report uses both descriptions and a checklist format for effective coverage of items that may be overlooked in other reports.  The report also adds the advantage of incorporating photos for ease of understanding specific items of interest.

Our reports are a direct and informative tool to help you understand the condition of your property at the time of the inspection.  This comprehensive report will aid you in making decisions concerning purchasing, planning for renovations or developing maintenance plans for the care of your property.
